World Taekwondo Federation (WTF).   Taekwondo was officially established as a sport, on May 28, 1973 at the inauguration meeting held at Kukkiwon with the participation of 35 representative from around the world. WTF is responsible for an estimated 30 million Taekwondo practitioners in approximately 177 countries.  The organization has more than 4,000 Korean instructors and coaches outside of Korea helping many local instructors.
